Life on the Road

This is the home for all gear and tech talk. It will also feature photos of our gear in use will be posted for our sponsors to review. The senior photographers will write product reviews and outline our tools of the trade. Also we will talk about our digital darkroom techniques and NyghtFalcon preset packs for DxO and Nik and OnOne.

Over the past six years we have assembled a collection of tools that we have used to build our digital darkroom. We work in raw - the digital equivalent of a negative - and that is the cornerstone for all that we do.

Not all raw converters - the software that converts raw images into TIF or JPG images that can be edited with Photoshop - are created the same.  We use DxO Lab’s Optics Pro Elite. Engineered to produce the best images we have ever produced, DxO stands apart from all other raw converters. To DxO we have added tools from OnOne Software and from NIK we have added Silver Efex Pro and Color Efex Pro.
